FISHING RULES SPORT FISHING CARD

As the card holder, you have the right to sport fishing in the roughly 40 lakes that are on the Sport fishing card's lake list. You can find which rules and which part of the lake is included in the fishing license in the maps and information on the respective water's page. You are obliged to find out which fishing regulations apply before you start your fishing.

ONLY ONE ROD PER FISHING FAMILY MEMBER OR CARD HOLDER. MAX 3 RODS PER FAMILY AND CARD. THE FISHER SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE EQUIPMENT HE FISHES WITH.

GENERAL RULES REGARDING THE SPORT FISHING LICENSE:
· The fishing license must always be carried when fishing and must be shown to the fishing inspector or the police upon request. You must be able to prove your identity when checking. The fishing license is valid for a person with a spouse or common-law partner and children under 19 years of age.
· The person whose card is on it must participate in the fishing.
· The junior card is free and personal and is valid until the year
you turn 19.
· Signs at the fishing water and calls from the fishing supervisor must be followed. Fishermen who violate the regulations may be deprived of the right to fish and, in the case of gross misconduct, reported for prosecution. Please note that fishing for sale and jerk fishing is not allowed.
· It is forbidden to fish from private docks and plots. Closer than 50 meters from these, it is also forbidden to fish from a boat and floating ring as well as from ice. The fishing gear must be kept under supervision when fishing is in progress.
· Fishing from a boat without a motor and from a floating ring is permitted in all lakes, rowing may be done with a maximum of 3 rods per boat, unless otherwise stated in the description of the fishing water.
· Trolling with a maximum of 3 rods is allowed in some lakes. See info about each lake in the lake list.
· Netting and other mass-catching devices, both fixed and mobile, are prohibited on the Sportfiskekort's waters.
· Bait fishing is permitted with one roach cabin per fishing license, the roach cabin must be marked with name, telephone and fishing license number.
Sinking nets and cast nets may be used for catching bait in all lakes.
· Angel and ice fishing may be conducted with a maximum of 5 tools per card and family, unless otherwise stated in the respective lake's description. For lakes with other rules, this is stated in the description of the fishing water.
· Minimum size for pike and pike is 45 cm, maximum size 75 cm: this take-out window applies in all waters, this means that only pike and pike between 45-75 cm may be taken.
And that a maximum of 3 fish per card and day of these species may be kept.
All perch above 38cm must be released. 
· The yellow card: The Sportfishing Card is also valid on the waters included in Gothenburg's "Yellow Card" according to the rules that apply there.
· The large perch is protected in Yngern
· In 2015 Yngern became the first lake with a maximum size for perch. All perch of 38 centimeters or over must be released back into the lake, this to maintain the lake's populations of large perch. The large individuals play an important role in reproduction and the balance of the ecosystem.
· Peace time in Lillsjön, 15 May-15 June.
The peace period in Lillsjön aims to protect spawning fish, mainly zander. ALL fishing in the lake is prohibited during peacetime!
