Ruffe ("Gärs") Overview


Ruffe - Gymnocephalus cernuus

Gärsen is a fish in order perciformes that live in fresh and brackish water. Gärsen grow up to 30 centimeters long, but it is usually less.

Population

The fish live in deep lakes or slow-flowing streams, especially where the bottom is mud, stone or sand. It can also go into the brackish water.
