Älvdalens FVOF offers you a wide selection of fishing licenses for fantastic fishing waters. There is everything from stream fishing in Österdalälven, Rotälven, Vanån and Tennån to fishing in lakes, ponds and streams.
In the streams there are mainly trout and grayling and in the lakes usually perch and pike but sometimes also char and trout. The area is very accessible and most of the waters are accessible by road. But if you want, you can go out to fishing waters in roadless terrain and there experience the proximity to wilderness and exciting fishing in forest streams and creeks.
Fishing in the rivers reaches its peak in connection with insect hatching at the end of May and during June and July, while lake and pond fishing starts somewhat later and is good for much of the summer.
Winter fishing starts as soon as the ice has settled, which normally happens in November, and fishing continues until the end of April. In addition to ice fishing for perch, there are also opportunities for ice fishing for char, trout and rainbow trout.
Remember to behave carefully in nature and avoid disturbing animal and bird life. The unique Swedish right of public access, as you probably know, entails both rights and obligations. Welcome to exciting fishing trips in Älvdalen!
The Älvdalen fishing management area manages fishing within the Älvdalen parish, with the exception of the Älvdalen shooting range.
