Dalälven (Untra kraftverk till Älvkarleby)

se Uppsala län / Älvkarleby and Tierp municipality.

The fisheries management area of approx. 2300ha, between Untra power plant and Älvkarleby, is covered by the Dalälven's last large delta area before the river meets the sea. We offer the visitor both good fishing and nature experiences. The Båtfors nature reserve is partly affected by the fisheries conservation area.

The water is rich in pike, zander and perch, but also contains a lot and many species of "whitefish".

Work is underway to enable sea-migrating fish to get up into the Dalälven.

Good opportunities to launch your boat i.a. in Marma, Mehedeby and Lindbergsviken about 1km west of Älvkarleö.

Very variable depth conditions prevail. Everything from the old stretch of the river channel to large dammed reed areas. Our maps can be helpful to find your way around the area.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 15.
 Only hand held equipment
