The fisheries management area is part of the lakes Uttran and Utterkalven, which are located in Botkyrka municipality. The terrain around the lake is residential, forest and mountains. Lake Uttran is a fairly large lake and is at its deepest 16 meters. In Uttran there are perch, birch, bream, pike, zander and yarrow. The stock of perch in particular is both in good condition and has large adults. Please note that the entire lake is not included in the fishing license, see the limits on the map. The lakes are relatively over-fertilized and are not judged to reach the set goals for environmental status in time, especially not in terms of over-fertilizing substances, mercury and certain brominated flame retardants. Despite that, measured values are below the limits of what is considered suitable food in fish from the lakes. Uttran's water flows via the Tumba river into Lake Alby to Lake Mälaren and then into the Baltic Sea.
Uttrans' Fishery Conservation Association aims to promote recreational fishing and rationally care for the fishing waters that the association leases. Our fishing waters include part of lake Uttran and Utterkalven. Uttrans Fishery Management Association was formed in 1942. We have an important role in the surrounding municipalities' work to improve the water quality in the lakes. Our most important work is to promote sport fishing and outdoor life in the area.
