At Östafors and at Forsagården just north of Näsum are the largest rapids. The area from Östafors and south is Natura 2000 area with some rare plant and animal species. Therefore, no tree clearing or other impact on nature takes place to facilitate fishing. Agriculture is conducted along the river, which also means that one must be careful when it comes to the impact on nature and crops. Avoid littering!

Obstacles to migration are removed and biotope-improving measures are taken in the rapids. We invest large sums in this work and it is therefore important that the current fishing rules are followed!
