Illeråsasjöns FVOF (Illeråsasjön)

Lake lleråsjön is part of Nissan's main catchment area. The lake is drained by the Ilabäcken watercourse. Here you can fish for perch, pike, roach and eel. There is a natural berth for boats in Sjölid in the western part of the lake. In Sjölid there is also a wind shelter and a scenic barbecue area.

Illeråsasjöns FVOF

Illerås Lake's FVOF was formed in the 1930s and has now been reactivated in 2024. A joint endeavor was to nurture and preserve the fish stock in the lake for the households of neighboring farms. During the first years, the management was focused on fisheries conservation in the form of liming, clearing to improve the fish's environments and their places of residence. Today's administration is largely focused on the development of recreational fishing in the lake. Fisheries management in the association is conducted today with the same basic purpose as before; to favor the conditions for recreational fishing and to work for healthy fisheries management that benefits fish stocks
