Sala FVF

Järndammen, Silvköparen, Långforsen m fl vatten

We are some happy amateur fishermen who handle the fishing in Salasjöarna, also called Gruvan's water system, which previously supplied Sala Silvergruva with hydropower.

The following waters are available in the area: Vallsjön, Långforsen, Stensjön, Harsjön, Långsjön, Helgonmossdammen, Järndammen, Silvköparen, Olof-Jons, Långforsen, Stora Hundsjön, Lilla Hundsjön, Mellandammen, Ekeby Dammar.

The iron pond
Järndammen offers precious fishing and an incredibly scenic area with walking paths around the lake, fishing does not apply to the entire lake. See map for further information.

Långforsen
Långforsen offers fishing for pike, pikeperch, perch and whitefish, a large lake with several bathing places. Långforsen also has some accessibility adaptation.

Olof-Jons & Silvköparen
Olof-Jons and Silvköparen offer pike and perch. Silvköparen has a campsite.

Ekeby dams
In Ekeby ponds and rivers, no fishing license and pike over 60 cm are required and all carp are protected and must be released.

In this area, there is one or more "put and take" waters.

The area includes one or more fishing areas for catch-and-release, i.e the fishes are gently put back into the water alive.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 18.
