The area consists of Lake Malgomaj with its tributary streams.
The fishing license area extends from the village of Lövnäs to Malgovik.
Lake Malgomajsjön offers fishing for char, rainbow trout, trout, grayling, whitefish, roach, pike, perch and roach. Canadian char and lake salmon were introduced many years ago.
Fishing
Fishing in the lake is practiced both from ice and during the ice-free season.
A large number of large char are caught every year in Lake Malgomaj.
Fish weighing 3–4 kg are not uncommon and catches of around 7–9 kg have also been reported.
Grayling can also be found along certain stretches of beach where it can be reached with a fly.

Keep in mind that the ice can be treacherous and that Malgomaj is a regulated lake.

Accommodation is available for rent in the teachers' residence, Rönnäs old school.
A substantial boat, 6.1 m, with a 9.9 hp outboard motor is also available for rent.
You can also rent an electric motor.
Malgomaj Fisheries Conservation Area (FVO) was established on June 23, 2014 and is managed by the Malgomaj Association.
