The area consists of lake Malgomaj with flowing watercourses.
The fishing license area extends from Lövnäs village to Malgovik.
Malgomajsjön offers fishing for char, rainbow trout, grayling, whitefish, lake pike, perch and roach. Canada trout and lake salmon were planted many years ago.
The fishing
Fishing in the lake is practiced both from ice and during the ice-free season.
A large number of coarse char are caught every year in Lake Malgomaj.
Fish of 3 – 4 kg are not so unusual and catches around 7 – 9 kg have also been reported.
Grayling can also be found along certain stretches of beach where it can be reached with a fly.
Warning
Keep in mind that the ice can be treacherous and that Malgomaj is a regulated lake.

The area is easily accessible with Vildmarksvägen on the south side and Hornsjövägen on the north side of Malgomajsjön.
A number of barbecue/rest areas have been set up where information and some service will also be available. See the location on the map.
Signage of access roads to Malgomajsjön will also be carried out.
Possibility of accommodation and access to a boat.
Accommodation is available for rent in the teacher's residence, Rönnäs old school.
A substantial boat, 6.1m, with 9.9hp outboard engine is also available for hire.
You can also rent an electric motor.
