Norra Sandsjös FVOF

The lakes of Norra Sandsjön Fishing Area are located in the southern part of the municipality of Nässjö, beautifully embedded in magnificent surroundings in a historical farming landscape. In Lake Uppsjön, one of the most interesting bird lakes in the highlands of Småland, as many as 140 bird species were noted in 2004! You have the opportunity to experience nice pike-perch fishing in beautiful surroundings. There are also plenty of pike in Uppsjön and Sandsjön, no doubt about that!

Other things worth seeing in the area include the rune ridge, with its rune stone erected in the 11th century. The 12th century church in Norra Sandsjö and Sandsjö Wärdshus (inn), where you can get some delicious food. A small bathing place is located close to Sandsjö Bygdegård and a bigger one at Sandsjöbaden. Sandsjö Wärdshus and Sandsjöbaden camping ground are located at Sandsjöbaden on the eastern shore of Lake Uppsjön (see map). 

River Emån, one of the bigger rivers in southern Sweden, pass the lakes on its journey towards the brackish water of Östersjön. Fishing license in Norra Sandsjö Fishing Area enables you to fish in Lake Hagasjön, Lake Uppsjön and Lake Sandsjön.
