A large part of Öjån flows through Yxskaftkälen's Fisheries Conservation Area, which is one of the Ammerån's most important tributaries.
Here you fish for grayling and trout in an unregulated river with fine seals and streams. In the fisheries conservation area, there are also most nets of varying sizes with a large amount of perch and in some cases pike.
Öjån and some ponds are easily accessible from the village Yxskaftkälen and various forest car roads. In winter, most of the ponds are easily accessible via snowmobile tracks / trails.
Skarpabborrtjärnen and Stortjärnen are put and take water. At Skarpabbortjärnen there is a bridge that is adapted for accessibility. At both there is wind protection. At present, no fish are exposed and both waters are currently included in the general annual card.
