Opening hours for the Fishing License
The Trout Canal and Baggböleören are open between November 1 and November 30.
All other fishing license sales are closed for the season and will reopen in the spring of 2025.
The stretches
The Baggböleören and the Öringskanalen open up in spring and winter, the exact date depends on when the river becomes ice-free.
The dry furrow opens May 20.

Umeälvens Forsfiskeområde offers free fishing for young anglers. Please read and following the general fishing rules that apply for the area. Rules specifically for children and adolescents:
Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 12.
Only in company with a keeper / adult / person who holds a valid fishing license (on his quota)
In the municipality's own fishing waters; Umeå City Fishing Area - part of Umeälven, Nydalasjön and Sofiehemsdammen. fishing is free for children up to and including 12 years of age, but the guardian/adult must redeem a fishing license in their name.
