Revsundssjön has a varied character with large open waters, bays and narrow passages. In the middle of Revsundssjön is a large island, Ammerön, which creates this varied water.
Revsundssjön is one of the richest fish in Jämtland. Gimå trout is the water's "pride", but the water also contains three other trout trunks. The diversity of, among other things, perch, pike, grayling, provides an interesting and varied fishing.
A boat trip around Ammerön is a rich experience considering fishing and the surrounding nature.
You can find accommodation in several places around the lake, or in your own tent.
Charts of the lake are available for purchase.
The tourist fishing license in Revsundssjön is a collaboration between three fisheries management areas: Revsundssjön's Södra FVO , Grimnäs-Landsomfjärdens FVO and Övre Gimåns FVO.
The aim is to be able to provide a common fishing license for the entire Revsundssjön for the public.
We practice active biotope conservation in our waters.
YOUTH CARD
In 2024, among the young people who submit a fishing report, 4 gift cards will be drawn at Kjellbergs Motor in Bräcke. These are SEK 500 each.
We have a number of boat ramps at various locations around the fisheries management area, as well as an accessible jetty at the outlet of the Herrevadströmmen.
Do you need to rent a boat, Revsundssjöns Södra FVO has 3 boats for rent, one at Prästgården in Revsund and one on Ammerön at Storsands wilderness camping. The third is Gimån's inlet (Stavre byggett 110).
At the Herrevadströmmen there is the "New Ström Museum", which provides good information about rafting and fishing in that area.
