Sävsjö SFK

NOTE: Do not confuse this area with Käringasjön in Vaggeryd!

Lake Käringasjön is a former rotenone-treated lake that now also contains perch, in addition to the regularly exposed trout relatives, Heligeå trout and rainbow trout. The largest recorded is close to 1.5kg.

The area is characterized by the southern end's exciting rock formations which, after the ice age, still attract a number of climbers who like the right amount of challenges. At the southern headland, there is a larger windbreak model and a cement-ringed barbecue area with a movable grill installation. Footpaths around the lake mostly do not require boots, except when it rains when these footwear are most appropriate. Waders are not needed as the bottom of the lake is not at all suitable for wading or in any other way to move on. To get out over the water, there are jetties that are entered at your own risk.

The northern end of the lake has a very small shelter, only for a couple of people. There is also a cement-ringed barbecue area with the same barbecue grill as at the southern end. Note that it is up to everyone to take into account any local fire bans. Grilling bans may also occur. Unfortunately, we cannot yet agree with wood.

The lake is surrounded by forest and the western side with a clear cliff opposite a jutting pine forest beach opposite on the eastern side.

The lake is just the right size to be able to round at some point during fishing without too much effort.

Please note that littering is not permitted.
At the lake there are two dustbins, one at each end of the lake, south and north.
There is also shelter from the wind and about 10 piers around the lake.
