Within the area there are about 100 lakes and ponds with an area of about 1500 ha.

At 20 of these lakes there are deployed shelter, bridges and toilets. There are also cottages for rent, most of them directly connected to the fishing waters. For fishing in flowing water, there are mainly five major watercourses with a length of about 75 km. To this comes a lot of smaller streams with exciting angling.

In addition to fishing, the area offers rich opportunities for cultural and nature experiences. There are five large nature reserves with primordial nature. If you wonder about all the Finnish-sounding names on the maps, they originate from the Finnish colonization in the 17th century. Finnbyarna is today a picturesque feature of the landscape image, reminiscent of a bygone era.
