We have two large rivers in our fisheries management area, the Torne River and the Tärendö River.
Torne River.
A varied fishing water, here you can catch most of the fish species found up here, everything from perch and ide to salmon.
The Tärendö River.
A deep and relatively narrow river, however, with occasionally difficult banks. Here lies the real challenge of fishing for salmon, grayling or trout. The river is known for its fine trout stock but also in recent years for its fighting salmon.
In addition, we have a number of streams Pipiöjoki, Merasjoki, Junojoki with various species of fish, grayling, trout, etc.
We also have a large number of lakes where we have perch, pike, roach in various sizes.
Piilojärvi is a lake where we have been farming rainbow trout, trout and char for almost 50 years. It is a put and take lake where you can catch trout weighing up to 5 kg.
Regarding Piilojärvi, motorhomes/caravans may only be parked during the day, NB!!! not overnight.
Piilojärvi will open for fishing on March 8, 2025 at 0800.
