Åreälvens Nedre KFO

Åreälven's Lower short fishing area is a collaboration between Helgesjön's FVOF, Litens Västra FVOF and Undersåkersälven's FVOF. The card fishing area offers a common sport fishing card ( separate cards for each individual fishing area can still be purchased ). The short fishing area is centrally located in Åre municipality, scenic and easily accessible.

The Åreälven belongs to a Natura 2000 area and is protected from hydropower development, the area around Ristafallet is classified as a nature reserve.

Whitefish, grayling, pike, perch, trout and Canadian trout are found in lakes Helgesjön and Liten .

Fishing in the lakes is mostly done from boats, but in winter from the ice. Åreälven approx. 15 km of flowing water with outlet in the lake Little.

Spinning and fly fishing from shore for grayling and trout up to the 14 m high Ristafallet. Upstream of the fall there is only a natural population of trout. Fishing can be done here from land, but also from a boat in the calm selines. The supply of fish is high in our waters.

Helgesjön's FVOF
Helgesjön is just north of Undersåker. The lake offers varied fishing for pike, perch, whitefish, grayling, trout and Canadian trout.

Little West FVOF
Sjön Liten, which lies between Järpen and Mörsil, offers a variety of fishing in the Åreälven river channel. The lake has several inlets and outlets and many small islands.

Undersåkersälven's FVOF
Located between Åresjön and Liten and is a strong flowing body of water with several rapids.
