Bäcksjön is a lake in Umeå municipality in Västerbotten that is part of the Sävarån-Tavelån coastal area. The lake is drained by the watercourse Hjåggmarksbäcken. The lake is approximately 2.5 kilometers long from north to south, and just over 1 kilometer wide at its widest point. Most of the lake has a depth of 3-4 metres. In the lake there are natural perch, pike, roach and tench, as well as planted trout and rainbow trout. Bäcksjön has three larger islands, and a few smaller ones. One of the larger islands has a barbecue area and shelter from the wind. There are four bathing beaches at the lake, one in the northern part, two in the eastern part and one in the western part of the lake. There is also a swimming area at the southern tip of the lake. The land around the lake is largely owned by the Forestry Agency, and Bäcksjö Båt- och fiskeklubb manages the fishing rights in the lake.
Bäcksjö Boat and Fishing Club is a non-profit association that was founded in 2024.
The club manages fishing rights and sells fishing licenses for Lake Bäcksjön in Umeå municipality.
All fishing license sales take place via iFiske.se
The club also rents boat berths at the lake.
