Within the Gnarps Fishing Area there are a few coastal rivers with migrating sea trout, of which the Gnarpsån is the largest. The lower part of the Gnarpsån offers good spring fishing for sea trout and is a fine grayling water along its entire length.
There are also 4 put-and-take waters where rainbow trout, trout and char are regularly stocked. Of these, Herrgårdstjärn and Åstjärn are the most popular and there are shelters, jetties and a heated cabin. At Igeltjärn and Uppgårdstjärn there are jetties/landings and shelters. There are also a number of streams/rivers with stationary trout and lakes/ponds with pike, perch, roach and zander. The area has a good supply of fish.
You will find many of the most popular sport fishing species with us: sea trout, rainbow trout, brown trout and grayling, but of course also pike and perch plus a number of other species. The waters are excellent for fly and spin fishing, but also angling and various forms of winter fishing. Several ponds and lakes are easily accessible by car and present both excellent pike and perch fishing but also other sport fishing species.
Åstjärn and Herrgårdstjärn are equipped with windbreaks, barbecue areas and floating docks that are easy to reach even for wheelchair-bound anglers.
Here is the film "Many small streams" about the measures being implemented in the Gnarpsån and Nianån rivers to address migration obstacles etc. for better sea trout fishing in collaboration with, among others, the Sportfishermen.
