Hällefors FVF

In addition to all our whitefish waters with pike, perch, zander, roach, etc., we have 10 freshwater fish lakes, two of which are rental lakes.
For our 8 freshwater fish lakes, 24-hour passes can be purchased locally at our retailers, or via vending machines, but also online.
The price applies to all 8 lakes, but the lakes have different regulations regarding gear.
Check this before you start fishing.

Mountain pond:
Bergtjärn is a rainbow trout lake located in the Sävsjön area.
It is about 20 kilometers from Hällefors. You rent alone or in a group and fish with fly, spin or angling.
There is a dock adapted for wheelchairs, a wind shelter, a fire pit hut where you can spend the night and a dry toilet.
Fishing is done from land.
Inquiries and orders can only be made via the association's telephone number 0705 - 41 09 80 (answering machine).

The booking is valid for a weekend, 48 hours. The price is 6000 SEK including 25 kg of exposed fish.
You can choose to have extra exposed fish. This costs 500 SEK per 3 kg of fish.

Hedtjärn:
Hedtjärn is a small lake located at Älvsjöhyttan about 35 km north of Hällefors. It has an area of 4 ha. The fish in the lake are rainbow trout and fishing from land is allowed.
Both spinning, angling and fly fishing are permitted.
There are docks, wind shelters, a dry toilet and a large parking lot for caravans/cars next to the lake.

Högborntjärn:
Högborntjärn is located just south of Grythyttan, about 150 km from Hällefors. It is located just a few hundred meters south of Notbindartjärn, which is also a freshwater lake. It is a small lake of 2.8 ha, but it is quite deep. There are trout, rainbow trout, smelt and tench in the lake.
Fishing is done from land.
Both spinning, angling and fly fishing are allowed. There are not many places where you can go out with a fly rod. There are windbreaks, dry toilets and piers.

Vertebra iron:
Kotjärn is a small rental lake with rainbow trout located in the Sävsjön area. It is approximately 18 km from Hällefors to Sävsjön. The lake is just under 2 ha. There are two windbreaks, a jetty and two dry toilets. There are some bridges around the entire lake. Fishing is done from land.

The Quidditch players:
Kviddtjärnarna are two small lakes in the Sävsjön area. Only fly fishing is allowed. Ice fishing on winter ice is not allowed.
Total area is 1.3 ha. Wind shelter and dry toilet available. Fenced around the entire small and parts of large Kviddtjärn. Exciting fishing for rainbow trout is offered here. If you want a change of scenery, Lilla Sandsjön is not far from here.

Little Sand Lake:
Lilla Sandsjön is not as small as it sounds. It has an area of 11 ha. The fish are rainbow trout but there are also roach, perch and some stray pike. Spinning or fly fishing from land is the way to go.
Lilla Sandsjön is located in the Sävsjön area, about 18 km north of Hällefors. The lake has a jetty adapted for wheelchairs, several shelters, jetties and a dry toilet. There is also a fire pit hut where you can spend the night and a hand pump for drinking water.
A large parking lot for caravans/cars is located next to the lake. A few hundred meters north are the Kviddtjärnarna lakes.

Iron:
Mettjärn is located in the Sävsjön area, about 18 km north of Hällefors. The lake has an area of 13 ha. There are rainbow trout and trout in the lake. Fishing is done from land with spinning, fly or angling. The lake has two windbreaks, several piers and a dry toilet. There is a large parking lot at this lake if you want to bring a caravan/car.

Snare iron:
Notbindartjärn is located just south of Grythyttan, about 15 km south of Hällefors. There are rainbow trout and tench in the lake, which has an area of 3 ha. Fishing is done from land with spinning, fly or angling. There are windbreaks, dry toilets and jetties. A few hundred meters south along the same road is Högborntjärn.

Axe iron:
Yxtjärn, located at Älvsjöhyttan about 35 kilometers north of Hällefors, is the largest freshwater lake we have. It has an area of 20 hectares. There are rental boats available here.
Boat passes are sold by OK/Q8 Hällefors, tel. 0591-121 10. SEK 100/day.
The fish are rainbow trout, trout and whitefish. There are also some perch, roach and pike.
Allowed to use a float ring in the lake. There are wind shelters and dry toilets.
You can go spinning, fly fishing, angling and rowing.
In winter, it's pimpling that applies.
