The fisheries management area stretches from the village of Vemhån in the south to Henvålen in the north, with the Jämtland border in the east to the river Ljusnan in the west. Vemhån, Björnrike, Vemdalen and Vemdalsskalet as tourist-intensive places with good general services for tourism.
- The fisheries management area offers varied and well-managed fishing in both mountain and forest landscapes, lakes as well as ponds and fine streams. The area is well signposted where there are roads and paths to most waters. The area is also well supplied with windbreaks/fireplaces at most fishing waters.
- Veman , which gave its name to the valley, is a unique unregulated watercourse that is the pulse of the valley and easily accessible from the road for long stretches. Many are the streams that supply Veman with fresh water from the heights on both sides and where grayling and trout have their spawning grounds. Veman offers excellent stream fishing for grayling and trout. Knåpen and Borrströmmen are perhaps the most famous stretches, as well as Sälströmmen where catch and release applies.
