The Hargsjön is about 100 hectares to the surface and lies beautifully situated northwest of Kisa in southern Östergötland.
It is an accessible lake with roads all around. A fairly shallow reed lake with a depth of about 4-5m. The most common catch is pike and perch, but there are also whites, bream and roach. Pigs of 12-14 kg have been pulled up and occasional catches of eel and lake have occurred.
Hargsjön's Fisheries Conservation Area was formed to promote fisheries conservation and maintain a good species composition with the environmental aspect as a starting point in order to give future generations the opportunity for rewarding fishing in a beautiful and recreational environment.
