Östergötland is one of the prime fishing destinations in Sweden. The region offers a highly varied and qualitative fishing during all seasons. To the west you will find Sweden's second largest lake, Vättern, with its clear, deep waters and thirty different fish species. To the east is the Baltic Sea with its seabed and Östgötaskärgården, a piece of unspoiled nature that gives you silence, nature and adventure. The coast offers an exciting and world-famous fishing for rough sea trout and big pike. Between the coast and Vättern there are thousands of lakes of varying size and fishing. Many of the lakes, in the wilderness forests or on the eastern plain, offer a great fishing for big gos and pike, and it is a paradise for the meter.
