The club started in 1954 and from the beginning the club was called Asby sportfishing club but changed its name in 1997 to Asby Torpa sportfishing club.
The association has approximately 45 members.
Most of the members fish in Lake Sommen. We are one of the associations around Lake Sommen that has an agreement with the Sommen Fisheries Management Area.
