Fishing tips
Good grayling fishing in Haverö grayling and Vassnäs streams from the end of May until midsummer. There is also a chance of large trout in these streams, even if they are not so numerous. Trolling during the spring/early summer in the larger lakes can also give a chance for large trout. Permitted with fly fishing from floating ring in Långtjärn where you can have good fishing during the rock hatching after Trout and Trout.
Accessible fishing spot/jetty at Mosjön. Good fishing for large pike especially in late autumn in the lakes in Ljungan.
A maximum of 4 noble fish per day and fishermen applies in Långtjärn!
Fishery care
Planting of trout and char, Removal of migration obstacles for spawning fish. Survey of fish stocks. Biotope measures in certain waters to benefit trout and grayling.
We work especially to strengthen the natural production of trout through biotope conservation measures and construction of spawning and rearing areas.
In the summer of 2016, we used a helicopter to fly out playground gravel in Kvarnån Bodsjön and Länsterån
In the summer of 2019, 200 tons of spawning gravel were flown out into Ljungan to improve the opportunities for the trout to spawn.
The spawning bottoms seem to have turned out really well, now we hope that the migratory trout find and take a liking to the new bottoms.
