Önskasjön is a wilderness lake of 869 hectares of clear water located 7 miles NW of Örnsköldsvik, 1 mile outside Trehörningsjö. The shoreline is 2.9 miles long. Önskasjön has been regulated for at least 200 years.
The maximum depth in the lake is approx. 56 m. The average depth is 15.2 m.
Every year since 1969 either trout, char or rainbow has been released. However, the lake has recently become highly appreciated for its very large pikes, as we had a C&R competition Önskegeddan for 10 years.
The lake also holds the Mysis shrimp since the ice age, which forms the basis of all fish here. We have a wilderness campsite without a service facility with room for approx. 10 wagons, beautifully located in the North Sea Bay, a stone's throw from the water.
Access to fresh water, shelter from the wind with split firewood. Outhouse. 4 boats and 2 electric motors and 4 batteries that we rent out. A small cabin can also be rented with a wide bunk bed, table and 2 chairs, but without a heating source. In Dammviken there is a disabled-friendly jetty and a disabled-friendly outhouse. In total, we have 9 wind shelters with fireplaces and mostly split firewood scattered around the lake. Beautiful swimming area in Hemviken. Concrete launching ramp in Nordsjöviken and natural launching in Ekorrviken.
FVOF since 1969.
Stocking of noble fish annually. Our purpose is to make the lake as pleasant as we can and our goal to get people out into nature to relax with fishing or just be.
