Do you want to become a member of Österåker's sport fishing club? Österåkers Sportfiskeklubb started its operations on June 25, 1943 then under the name Österskärs fiskeklubb. We are one of the country's largest fishing clubs / associations with almost 600 members. The sport fishing club manages and supervises the municipality's fishing waters but also other leased water areas.
ÖSFK is connected to "Sportfiskarnas Region mitt Stockholm". This organization safeguards the interests and wishes of our members in fisheries matters vis-à-vis the authorities. ÖSFK is a member of the Environment and Climate Council (MKR) and the Sports and Outdoor Alliance (IFA) in Österåker municipality and safeguards the fish's habitat and sustainable rewarding recreational fishing in the municipality. in the free hand gear fishing) fishing with longlines, nets and fishing gear for household needs, as well as rowing or trolling fishing with a maximum of four rods using an electric motor, within the club's water areas in the archipelago. There are 12 rowing boats, distributed in different water areas, which members can borrow for free. Sportfiskeklubben manages and supervises Österåker municipality's fishing waters but also other leased water areas. The waters include e.g. archipelago waters as well as Drängsjön, Trastsjön, Södersjön and the lower part of Åker's channel. In Lake Drängsjön, put&take fishing is conducted for noble fish.
The club carries out fisheries conservation and fisheries supervision activities in the managed waters.
We have also been approved by the County Administrative Board in Stockholm County since 1996 to run fishing inspection courses.
