Östtjärns P&T

Fishing in Östtjärn is organized by Allsta Byamän. Already in 1963 rotenone treated Östtjärn with the purpose of creating a new fishing water with noble fish. Implantation of fish has been down for 25 years, but resumed in 2009. Östtjärn is leased by Tuna Östra FVO. Östtjärn is located just south of Sundsvall. The distance from the city center by car is about 12 km and is an excellent alternative to fishing around Sundsvall. There are also hiking trails and ski trails from Sidjön's open-air area that connect to the lake. The size is 29 ha and has a depth of 29 meters, so there are good conditions for char and trout. Since there is a natural self-rejuvenation of both Trout and Trout, there are fish up to 4-5 kg to catch. Allsta Byamän has in recent years implanted 2-year-old trout, and created better playbeds for char. Fishing is allowed between October 1 and April 31. During the period prior to the icing, fishing from a boat and floating is permitted for the rest of the time, ice fishing.
