The fisheries management area consists of both lakes and ponds with associated streams and waterways. In Västra Rännöbodsjön, Mellantjärn and Överstjärn there are traditional sea fish such as e.g. Pike, perch, bream and roach. In Skäftestjärn, Orrahålet and Svarttjärnen, trout and char are stocked together with the occasional perch.

The purpose of the association is to coordinate the conduct of fishing and fisheries management, to promote the common interests of the holders of fishing rights, taking into account the regulations that apply to the practice of fishing, and to grant fishing rights to the public. The association was founded on 1 September 1986 by the county board.
