Fishing and fish species

The lake has a species-rich fish fauna with the following fish species whitefish, vendace, pike, tench, roach, roach, ruda, birch, lake, perch, pikeperch, snipe, sea trout and trout and brook trout in the Stensjöån tributary. In addition, signal crayfish are found in the lake.

Fishing license

At present, fishing in the lake is reserved for property owners / fishing right holders. Residents on Tovrida cape lease fishing rights from the landowners in Tovrida and residents in Öggestorp lease fishing rights from the Church of Sweden in Öggestorp. There is no fishing license sale.

Individual landowners can rent out their fishing rights, which are then responsible for informing about the limits that apply to fishing rights.

Fishing rules

At present, fishing in the lake is reserved for property owners / fishing right holders in their respective areas.

The fishing on the Tovrida side of the lake is leased to the property owners at Tovrida Uddes Stugsamfällighet who are allowed to fish during the period 15 May to 15 October, with the exception of the crayfish fishing month in August. Only rod fishing is allowed, not fixed gear.

The crayfish fishing period is determined annually by the fisheries conservation area association at the fisheries meeting in April. Each landowner / fishing right holder may only fish for crayfish within their own waters. Pikeperch over 55 cm that are caught within Stensjön's FVOF must be released to promote the stock.

Boats and boat rentals

In Huskvarnaån from Stensjön to Carlforsdammen, and from Stensjön to Rambron, the speed limit of 5 knots applies. In Stensjön, the speed is not limited, but housing and wildlife must always be taken into account.

2021-04-05 - Invitation Fisheries Meeting 2021
The board invites the members to the digital annual general meeting on Monday, April 5 at 19:00.

Due to prevailing circumstances, the association is forced to arrange this year's fisheries meeting digitally via the Teams service. Registration for the Annual General Meeting is emailed to niklas@fastighet-lustgarden.se
Motions are also emailed to Niklas no later than 2 weeks before the meeting.

When you as a member have registered for the digital AGM, Niklas will send back a link to your e-mail address. By opening the link on a computer or smartphone, you are connected to the digital meeting room.
The service works both on a downloaded program / app or website.
The meeting room for the Annual General Meeting will be open from 18:45.
We understand that this is new to many and therefore you who feel insecure can try to join already on Monday March 29 at. 19:00 to ensure that everything works as it should.

NOTE! Fisheries meeting 2020 canceled!
Due to the prevailing Corona infection, the board has decided to cancel the meeting.

Instead, we propose that the fisheries meeting be postponed by one year and that the board continue its work in accordance with the minutes of the 2019 fisheries meeting. We intend to hold three board meetings during the period and, as in previous years, deal with issues relating to fisheries management and coordination of fishing activities. It is already proposed that the crayfish fishery starts on the 5th of August and then ends on the 30th of September. The membership fee is kept unchanged at SEK 300.

The board invites the members to the AGM in Lekeryd's parish home on April 4 at 18:00.

2015-04-28 - Invitation Stensjömetet Saturday the 9th of May at 9:00
Stensjöns Fiskevårdsområdesförening invites to "Stensjömetet", a fishing competition for everyone with fishing rights in Stensjön. On this day, fishing is allowed in the entire fisheries conservation area from Rambron to Carlforsdammen.
We gather at the bathing place at Tovrida Udde at 9:00 and draw the competition rules (only floating is allowed, from a boat or from land).
At 13:00 we gather at the same place to weigh in the catch. The winners, 1st 2nd and 3rd are rewarded with prizes!
After the award ceremony, there will be beach mingle.
The association fixes so that the charcoal glows, but everyone can bring their food to put on the grill and drink.

2014-08-06 - Cancer fishing
The crayfish fishing starts on the 6th of August at 17:00 and ends on the 30th of September 2014.

2014-05-17 - Stensjömetet
The premiere of Stensjömetet on 17 May offered fantastic weather and great support for Tovrida Udde's bathing area. After the fishing, there was a barbecue at the bathing place and an award ceremony was held. The winner of the meter competition was Jonas Back. In second place came Klas Andersson and in third place came Roger Lindberg.
