Stråken's FCAAStråken, a lake 25 km in length and 100-500 m in breadth, located about 20 km west of the southern part of Lake Vättern.
The lake, which formed in a glacial fracture, has a maximum depth of 38 metres and an average depth of almost 10 metres. The fish population is typical of an oligotrophic lake – i.e., one poor in nutrients.
Species there include perch, pike, bream, roach, tench, vendace, burbot and ruffe, to name a few.
Attempts have been named to stock the lake with various strains of salmon trout with mixed results. One small strain of salmon trout exists, probably from earlier stocking in the area.In the deepest parts of the lake, there are also vendace that spawn in autumn.
Stocked signal crayfish can also be found in the lake, but these are not included in licenced fishing.
