Tärna FVO

The Tärna fisheries management area stretches from Portbron, 4 km below Hemavan, to the end of Lake Ajauresjön, 40 km below Tärnaby. The area includes the lakes Västansjön, Laisan, Gäutan, Ajaure, Jokksjaur, Jokksjaurebleriken and Gardiken

The Umeälven's inlets in Laisan and Västansjön form a fascinating delta landscape with islands and beaches.

Along the fly fishing route in Tärnaån there are great opportunities to catch large trout and the stream fishing route at the suspension bridge in Solberg is an excellent fishing spot for fly casting and casting float.

Jokksjaure, Jokksbäcken and lower Jovattsån are easily accessible and provides perfect family fishing with nice seals and small currents.

Gäutan and Ajaure are large and sometimes deep lakes, perfect for trolling for trout and Canadian trout. At the outlet of Ajauresjön is the Ajaure Dam .

Yes, a very large fishing area with endless variety of fishing, flowing water and fly fishing, lakes with casting and spinning fishing, trolling fishing from a boat. The lakes are rich in fish and in addition to trout, char and whitefish there is also the possibility of catching large Canadian trout!

In the area there is access to fishing paths, fire pits, dry docks and wind shelters.

Boat rental is available from FUEL in Hemavan.

Docking places for boats:

In Laisan on Gammställnäset, cars and trailers are not left at the water's edge but are parked on the field by the garbage cans.

In Lake Västansjön by Gammån, however, not equipped and availability may vary depending on the water level.

In Gäutan by the Udden next to the outlet of the Tärnaån. Cars and trailers are not left at the water's edge, but are parked in the large parking lot.
