Tydinge Kallsjöns FVO

Tydinge Kallsjön's fishing management area is a fishing management area owned by the co-owners of the waters in Tydingesjön and Kallsjön.

The fisheries management area works actively to preserve and improve the environment in and around the lakes, among other things by fighting reeds and weed, creating pike factories and restoring overgrown bays through the project " Östra Göinge's fresh lakes ".

Current measures
During the first half of November 2024, there will be is dug out of an opening between Långö & Stenö to separate the islands as they once were. The aim is to improve water circulation in the lake, which has many positive side effects. Wetlands will be created around Stenkeslycke to facilitate pike spawning, and the outlet at Oset, which has had a strong overgrowth since the lowering of the lake in about 1865, will be cleared and dug.

During the summer, two surveys of Tydingesjön were carried out.
One is made by Tuve Lundström and the environmental engineers. It has investigated the facts surrounding the current regulation of Tydingesjön, as well as any consequences of a possible changed regulation.

The second is made by Johan Forsblad & Heléne Annadotter at Regito AB and is a limnological survey of Tydingesjön in 2024 which compares the results with a similar survey that was made by the same individuals and companies in Tydinge in 2013. We want to create the conditions for long-term sustainable fishing and healthy lakes.
We have fishing rules for both anglers and fishing right owners and work to maintain good relations between landowners, anglers, fishing right owners and everyone else who wants to enjoy our lakes.

Boat information & Rules
Boat ramps are available at Sjöhagen's and Tydinge's swimming areas. Tydinge's ramp can be difficult to use at low water. There is no ramp in Lake Kallsjön, but you can put in at the swimming area Karlsnäs at the southern end of the lake, contact the landowner Gunilla 076 - 872 58 50.
Boats for rent are available at Tydingesjöns Camping & Festplats (Filip 073-0445486), as well as in Oset/Oröd at the southern tip of the lake (Bengt 070-5792488).
Speed limit in both lakes is 5 knots all year round, feel free to use an electric motor.
OBSERVE the bird protection around Missunnsön and Piggö 1 April - 15 July. Forbidden to enter the island and stay closer than 50m during this time.
