Vrångsälvens FVOF is situated in western Värmland and is bordered in the north to Norway. The area offers beautiful nature, wild animals and a variety of fishing. Our biggest water is Vrångsälven, Långtjärnet, Bytjärnet and Kunttjärnet, but Snårtjärnet and Bretjärnet is also within the conservation area.
Vrångsälven runs as a artery from Norway and through the area and it is the most species-rich water in the municipality, with 13 different species of fish. Characteristic species in the Vrångsälven are pike, perch, roach, ide, bream, tench, trout (very little) and pike-perch.
Långtjärnet and Bytjärnet have the common species as pike, perch and roach, but also some white fish. Large perches and strong fighting pikes are found in both waters.
Kunttjärnet is a shallow lake with perch, pike, roach and big tench. Fishing for Tencht in the lake is spectacular!
Vrångsälvens FVOF, working to protect the endangered species found in the area as well as the management of our waters so that predatory fish such as pike, perch favored in the waterways that fits.
We also seek to develop strain trout in the streams, where it thrives. We are in favour of cooperation in all of these forms so long as it benefits our fishing waters.
