Welcome to Björkvattnet - with some of the mountain world's most pristine fishing waters. Björkvattnet is right next to the Norwegian border and so isolated that the village has even had its own traffic rules.
Lake Björkvatnet has a rich population of good-sized trout and mountain char and summer and winter fishing of very high quality.
The eight ponds are located in widely different environments, where some are up on the mountain just below the tree line, while others are surrounded by forest. Trails are available to all ponds, some of which are 4-5 km from the nearest road, which in practice means total seclusion for those who want to fish in pristine waters.
Two ponds and the lake Björkvatnet are in close or direct connection to the road, which means that they are very suitable for people with disabilities. Björkvattnet and its fishing waters are also located in one of the most scenic and game-rich areas in the mountains and fantastic nature experiences in addition to the fishing itself.
