Bure Kåtaliden's FVO is located in the eastern part of Sorsele municipality. The area starts about a mile from Sorsele community in the direction of Arvidsjaur and stretches on both the north and south side of the E45.
The two largest lakes are Fårträsket and Buresjön. Other lakes in the area are Västra and Östra Olsträsket, Norra and Södra Stenträsket and Per-Olsträsket. A number of small ponds are scattered over the entire fisheries management area.
The largest and, from a sport fishing point of view, the most interesting flowing water is the Gargån, which winds through the area for a distance of about 25 km. Of the streams, Storbäcken and Fårträskbäcken can be mentioned, which flow into Buresjön and Gargån.
Roads lead to most of the larger lakes, making them easily accessible. The Gargån is accessible by car in a couple of places, but mainly flows through areas of pure wilderness character.
Most lakes have a stock of perch, pike and in the gargån there are also grayling and trout.
Bure Kåtaliden's FVO was formed in 1990.
The association's goal is to promote varied and sustainable fishing for members and guests for generations to come.
