Rödsvattnets FVOF

Welcome to Rödsvatnets fvo.
In the lake there are: Perch, Pike, Goose (implanted), Roach, Pike (and Eel).
Fishing for eel is not permitted because the eel is protected.
All proceeds from fishing license sales go towards the purchase and planting of solitary pikeperch.
This is done every 3-4 years and has been going on for 20 years.
There are therefore zander in different size classes
The lake is known for its large pike and every year pike over 10 kg are caught.
Large sunfish are found in the areas rich in vegetation.
The lake has a pH value of around 6.5 and is a municipal water source for Orust municipality. Water quality is regularly monitored by the municipality. Beavers have been in the lake since the 1990s and they are active late evenings and nights.
