The following waters are available within the fisheries management area:
Ångermanälven in and downstream Sollefteå, Lilla Abborrsjön, Stora Abborrsjön, Mjövattnet, Stor Aspsjön, Västra Spannsjön. NOTE. NOT THE NIPSTADS FISHING!!! You book there via the website or Allsport.
Sea fishing. FISHING BAN from 241029 until the ice wears off.
Within Sollefteå FVOF, you have access to several lakes to conduct your fishing in.
Many of the lakes are easily accessible directly from the road, but there are also those that require a walk of one or more kilometers for those who want to fish a little more "undisturbed". Fishing on our lakes can be done in both summer and winter, and fish are released before each season at regular intervals.
River fishing from land
The Ångermanälven invites you to a real cannon fishing even in the lower parts of the fisheries management area. There is a chance for salmon, sea trout, grayling, perch, pike etc...
If you are looking for grayling, we recommend that you go out to Hågestaön, turn left after the suspension bridge and stand on the tip of the island towards Sollefteå Camping.
There is both casting space for the fly rod and a chance to strike.
If you are looking for salmon or sea trout, we recommend the beach below the outlet of the park stream down towards the suspension bridge out to Hågestaön and the entire southern beach on Hågestaön.
River fishing from a boat
The grayling fishing can be fantastic if you take a boat to the various shallow areas that can be found downstream of the river. If you're lucky, you'll come across the larger graylings that weigh over a kilo, while the usual size is between 2-5 hg. Nice food fish, then.
A tip! Grayling is a distinctly fresh fish that should not lie too long between catching and cooking, so leave the catch bucket at home and only grab the ones you can eat when you get home.
Salmon fishing from a boat is probably not that explored yet, but why not drag a blank line behind the boat and vary the speed, you never know what will happen...
Sea trout fishing, on the other hand, is a popular feature along the entire river stretch of the fisheries management area and is sometimes a real hit and miss!
Spring and autumn apply and the colder it is in the water, the deeper you should fish.
Baits such as wobblers and tube flies usually produce catches.
Here you will find world-class salmon fishing in the middle of town.
Grayling, salmon and sea trout fishing along the Ångerman river. Summer and winter fishing for rainbow trout, char and trout in several lakes. Pike and zander fishing in lakes with access to a boat ramp.
