The Mörtströmmen Fishery Area is located in the southern part of Bräkneån just before the meeting with the Baltic Sea. The fishing license is valid in the southern part of Bräkneån, but also for Vierydån's west side up to the border between Väby 13: 4 and Hakarp as well as the lakes Bysjön and Viesjön. See fishing areas, parking and zoning of Bräkneån under the Map tab.

Södra Bräkneån is known for both fine water and very beautiful nature experiences. The area attracts with both fishing and hiking trails where the Bleking Trail and the bicycle trail Bräkne-Trail pass by.

At Mörtströmmen, the roach along the coast off the estuary has had one of its largest play areas. For thousands of years, it has played here in the spring, and has had a great impact on the income and households of its neighbors.

The idea, or the place it is called here, comes up in large numbers in the river, in early April for play. The womb, or local name "Sätterna" is related to the roach and the id, and comes up during the early summer. The usual leg, leg leg, is also abundant.

The eel is protected. It has decreased substantially, but there are still some eels in the deeper holes of the river. The sheet is here, it swims both in the stream and hides in the holes. The brook neon eye is still in the river. Their larvae lie buried in the sand for up to 4 years before they hatch. The game takes place during early summer.

During the autumn, the sea trout will come in for play. The kids grow up on shallow streaming parties. On good stretches, like under the road bridge here, there can be up to 4 kids per m2.

The pike and perch are among the "top consumers" in the fishing community. They have become popular fish and offer exciting and fun fishing, for all ages, for many anglers, and are common in the river.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 12.
