Stora Bygdeträsket's Fisheries Conservation Area comprises 7,000 hectares of water in the forest districts of Burträsk parish. The area is crossed by highway 364 which connects the cities of Umeå and Skellefteå. Service locations in the area are Bygdsiljum and Burträsk with bank, post office, shops, camping, health center and all the services required to get to the right place.

Fishing waters of the most varied kinds, from small inconspicuous streams to Västerbotten's largest lake, Stora Bygdeträsket, which offers you as an angler a variety of opportunities to engage in the fishing that interests you, with the typical fish species such as pike, perch, grayling and trout.

In Skorvbergstjärn, put-and-take fishing is conducted between 1 December and 1 May.

The area includes one or more fishing areas for catch-and-release, i.e the fishes are gently put back into the water alive.

Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 15.
Special family cards exist, and are required, which include child / youth fishing
