Västersjöns FVOF (Ängelholm)

Västersjön is located on Hallandsåsen c. 15 km northeast of Ängelholm in Skåne county. The lake is a varied lake that is part of the Rönneå water system. The lake is part of a valuable natural area where the beech forest is prominent.

The lake's character holds a mixture of plain lake and lowland forest lake. The bottoms in the lake vary from soft to hard with a lot of sand along the edges. This together with the relatively clear water means that the lake's vegetation is varied. Västersjön has an area of 480 ha and the maximum depth is 13 m, the average depth is 4.8 m. Västersjön generally has good water chemistry.

The lake has a good fishing stock of, among other things, pike, zander, perch, tench, bream and eel.
