The association's goal is to improve the fish stock in the long term through the annual release of fish in selected waters within the fisheries conservation area.
The improved fishing stock should lead to better catches, which in turn is expected to lead to an increased interest in fishing in the area. Good catches are expected to increase the sale of fishing licenses.
